Welcome to Splash Academy

Welcome to the Splash Academy swimming development programme. We cater for the absolute beginner to the confident swimmer.

We proudly offer something for everyone whilst maintaining a high quality of teaching, with small sized classes, thus allowing the student to obtain individual attention during their lesson.

All our teachers are qualified and all the programmes aim to meet the excellent standards of the Amateur Swimming Association and the Swimming Teachers Association and Disability Sport England with regard to development and award attainment.

Splash Academy is a swimming service that offers an extensive range of activities and courses for participants of all ages and abilities, as well as providing professional development opportunities for teachers and coaches of many aquatic disciplines.

The comprehensive teaching scheme includes Adult and Child classes, a complete programme of Early Development and Advanced Development Lessons for children, an introduction to lifeguarding through the ëRookie Lifeguard courses and fitness and advanced stroke development in the 'Mini Squad' sessions. Adults are equally well catered for with Adult Beginner and Improvers Classes, as well as fitness and further skill development available through the Adult Advanced and Master Classes.

Splash Academy is owned by Patsy Coleman; well known for her exceptional ability as a teacher and coach of swimming. With extensive experience as a teacher, coach and tutor, including a post as Coach to the British Paralympic Swimming Team, Patsy is highly respected throughout the national swimming fraternity. Julie Djerfi is the Swimming Development Co-ordinator at Stanground College.

To ensure that both the lessons and professional development courses are of the highest standard Splash has undertaken considerable investment in Teaching Aids for poolside. The success of both the Teaching and the Professional Development Programmes run by Splash has seen the Academy develop a reputation on both a local and at a national level for the delivery of a swimming service of the highest standard.
